Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves 3rd trailer rolls six for fun (video).
Fans of Dungeons & Dragons will be thrilled to learn that the eagerly anticipated movie Honor Among Thieves will shortly make its debut. The film, which is based on the infamous tabletop role-playing game and is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, boasts a large ensemble cast, including Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Regé-Jean Page.
The film’s creation has had a lengthy and arduous journey thanks to the involvement of numerous studios, authors, and filmmakers over the years. The Dungeons & Dragons movie was really announced by Warner Bros. Pictures and Sweetpea Productions in 2013, which marked the start of production. But, Hasbro and Universal Studios were simultaneously developing their own adaptations, and the rights to the game were fiercely fought.
After several legal disputes, Hasbro eventually obtained the rights, who then transferred the production to Paramount Pictures. The project was originally going to be directed by Chris McKay and Michael Gilio, but later Goldstein and Daley took over, incorporating ideas from the prior attempt.
Notwithstanding the difficulties, filming in Iceland and Northern Ireland finally started in 2021, and the production crew finished the shoot later that year. The world premiere of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves will now take place at South by Southwest on March 10, 2023, after a long wait.
The movie centres on a band of unlikely heroes who unintentionally steal a potent artefact from the villainous Red Wizard, who then uses it to create an army of the undead. To stop the wizard and preserve the planet, the group must come together and set out on a perilous adventure.
Fans of the web series Critical Role will be treated to cameo appearances by some of their favourite cast members in addition to the stellar cast. To prepare for an epic adventure, throw some dice when Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves hits cinemas on March 31st, 2023.
