UFO/UAP news roundup (22nd April 2024).

Here’s the semi-irregular round-up of all the best new content that is fit to print, and some that probably isn’t, concerning the topic of UFOs, UAPs, and a sugary side-dollop of woo.

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has made an astonishing discovery in the Orion Nebula, identifying numerous massive entities that seem to defy our current understanding of physics and the processes of planetary formation. Among these enigmatic findings, two objects stand out for emitting radio waves in patterns that do not align with natural celestial phenomena. This revelation raises the provocative question: Are we observing the first credible examples of alien megastructures? Such structures, theorized to be advanced technological constructs by extraterrestrial civilizations, could potentially serve various purposes. They might be designed for energy collection, communication, habitat creation, or even as beacons to signal their presence across the cosmos. While the true nature and intent behind these objects remain subjects for further investigation, their discovery opens thrilling new avenues in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

The Fermi Paradox and the Rarity of Complex Life: Throughout the vast expanse of Earth’s history, life predominantly existed in simple forms before evolving into the complexity we observe today. Could it be that the cosmos brims with planets hosting only primitive life forms, making advanced, complex organisms an exception rather than the norm? This perspective suggests that while basic life might be widespread, the emergence of intricate life forms could be an extraordinary rarity in the universe.

In a world brimming with unsolved mysteries and academic stalwarts snug in their ivory towers, one man dares to don the hat of a modern-day Indiana Jones, albeit with a protractor and a set of architectural blueprints under his arm. Meet Randall Carlson, the master builder, geometrician, and self-styled renegade scholar who’s been causing quite the stir in both the dusty corridors of ancient mythology and the sterile laboratories of modern science. With a career spanning over four decades, Carlson has carved a niche for himself that’s as intriguing as it is controversial. His tools? A formidable blend of geometric principles, architectural savvy, and an insatiable curiosity about the world’s bygone eras. His mission? To bridge the gaping chasm between the legends of yore and the empirical rigor of contemporary science, all while sporting the swagger of a seasoned explorer.

Richard Dolan recently joined Andy for a 90-minute conversation to discuss the current state of the UFO topic. The discussion covered a range of developments, including the impact of recent congressional hearings, the revelations from whistleblower David Grusch, the historical report from the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), and the growing focus on unidentified submerged objects (USOs) as a key part of the UFO mystery. Dolan and Andy also compared the study of USOs to traditional UFO research, as well as answering a number of questions from listeners.
