Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: Burton and Keaton Reunite for otherworldly sequel (comedy horror film: trailer).

Hold onto your striped suits and ready your sandworms, because the ghost with the most is back, and this time, he’s not just haunting – he’s expanding the family! Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel we’ve all been waiting for with bated breath (and perhaps a hint of trepidation), is set to hit cinemas on the 6th of September 2024. Yes, folks, it’s time to say his name again, but maybe not three times, just to be safe.

Tim Burton, the maestro of the macabre, re-teams with the enigmatic Michael Keaton, who slips back into his iconic pinstripes as the eponymous anti-hero we love to loathe. Winona Ryder returns as the eternally gothic Lydia Deetz, alongside Catherine O’Hara, who reprises her role as the delightfully eccentric Delia Deetz.

But what’s a sequel without some fresh blood? Joining the ghostly gala are Justin Theroux, adding a dash of mystery, and Monica Bellucci, bringing an otherworldly charm. Newcomers Arthur Conti and Jenna Ortega join the fray, with Ortega playing Lydia’s rebellious daughter, Astrid, who unwittingly ushers in a new era of spectral shenanigans.

And let’s not overlook Willem Dafoe, because, let’s face it, every film gets a notch creepier with him in it. He’s portraying a ghost detective with a backstory as rich as his character is quirky. Could there be a more fitting addition to the Beetlejuice lore? The plot? After an unexpected tragedy, the Deetz clan finds themselves back in Winter River, dealing with past demons, both literal and metaphorical. And when Astrid discovers that infamous model town, well, let’s just say the afterlife’s bureaucracy has never been busier.

With Burton’s visionary direction, a script bubbling with dark wit, and a cast that blends the beloved with the bewitching, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice promises a return to the peculiar charm that only this franchise can deliver. So dust off your Handbook for the Recently Deceased and prepare for a wild ride – after all, in Burton’s world, the bizarre is just business as usual.
