Vertical Entertainment is set to unveil the highly anticipated sci-fi adventure, War of the Worlds: The Attack, in theaters later this year, after acquiring the worldwide rights to the film.
Directed by Junaid Syed in his feature debut, the movie follows the thrilling journey of three young astronomers who find themselves at the heart of a Martian invasion after tracking a meteorite that crashes into Earth. Aided by a soldier, they must navigate through London to devise a plan to save humanity.
The film, which has completed post-production, features a talented ensemble cast including Sam Gittins, Vincent Regan, Alhaji Fofana, Lara Lemon, and Leo Staar.
The screenplay, co-written by Syed and Tom Jolliffe, pays homage to H.G. Wells’ classic War of the Worlds novel while incorporating contemporary elements to enthrall younger audiences.
