Studio Ghibli theme park to build a life-size Howl’s Moving Castle.
The monster-massive Studio Ghibli theme park which is being designed for construction in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture has just released details for its life-size Howl’s Moving Castle.
Now, the good news is that you’re getting this beast, the slightly less good news is that they’re building the HMC in the three-storey-tall ‘scout mode’, which is when you glimpse the TARDIS-Mecha-cross-thing in a slightly smaller configuration, rather than the full-size towering huge construction.
It’s still mighty impressive, though. And at least they didn’t base it on the bit at the very end of the movie when it’s a running tree-house with legs before it collapses into a pile of broken timber. It looks to nicely compliment the Totoro-based Dondoko Forest, Princess Mononoke Village, and Witch Valley from Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Now, how about some Castle-in-the-Sky Land reveals? I want a floating forest complete with ancient caretaker robot animatronics, please!
