TV presenter Jonathan Ross was dropped into the Forbidden Planet TV virtual green room, where he spoke with Andrew Sumner about his decades-long relationship with the Forbidden Planet stores and the reason he wants to send them a bill for some long-lost artwork.

Ross enjoys science fiction and is particularly fond of Doctor Who. His early recollections of the show, which included the 1968 serial The Invasion, were included in a book that benefited Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Ross is a comic book fanatic, and he and Paul Gambaccini once ran a comic book store in London. In 2010, he and American illustrator Tommy Lee Edwards put out their debut comic book, Turf.
