Comixology: the greatest Comic-book app-reading system ever, until Amazon took it over (documentary: video).
In this forty-minute-long documentary, NS looks at how ComiXology, (now) Amazon’s digital comic book app, has just gotten an upgrade that has rendered everything useless.
From comic-book consumers to comic-book producers, the environment of digital comics is becoming more difficult for everyone except Jeff Bezos’ chequebook.
Allow NS to explain the spotted history of what used to be comic-books’ greatest online reading system for a while, until the Zon got involved.

Thanks for posting this. I regret that I did initially think that the ‘merger’ might make non-Comixology comics purchases (via Amazon for kindle – not that I had any, my views on kindle and Amazon being what they are… Still) feasible. I was wrong.
I have managed to find my Comixology library (not easy) but it takes FOREVER to download so I can read… Effectively this means I’m going to probably never finish working through my library. And don’t get me started on non-USA users losing out on practically everything…
However, a fine and well-balanced video/review. Chances of it making any real difference? Less than zero (yes, yes, I know that’s nonsense – but so is the current situation).
