World getting weirder

UFO/UAP news roundup (9th Jan 2022).

Here’s the weekly roundup of all the new content that is fit to print, and some that probably isn’t, concerning the topic of UFOs, UAPs, and a sugary side-dollop of woo.

Bryce and Ross examine the passing of former Nevada Senator Harry Reid, how he influenced the UAP debate, and how most publications about him overlooked or disregarded this reality. They also go into how UAP isn’t only a US problem. For the entire history of the Phenomenon, numerous governments across the globe have considered it as a true enigma. Finally, a discussion of what it will take for the world’s largest and most mainstream media outlets to take UAP seriously and follow stories with the same zeal that gave us Watergate and the Pentagon Papers reporting.

Don Schmitt returns in 2022 to discuss the future of the UFO debate. Don Schmitt is a former co-director of the J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies in Chicago, where he worked for ten years as Director of Special Investigations.

Philip Mantle is a long-time UFO researcher and author based in the United Kingdom. He was formerly the British UFO Research Association’s Director of Investigations and the MUFON Representative for England. In 2022, he will publish two new books, one on UFO landings in the United Kingdom and the other on the 1973 Pascagoula experience. Both novels are now being adapted into television documentaries.

Guest Paul Hynek is the son of J. Allen Hynek, who was a lead astronomer for the US Air Force’s UFO investigation programme, and was featured on the History Channel’s Project Blue Book. Paul speaks openly about his experiences growing up in the presence of UFOs, including some significant sightings, his father’s participation with “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” and his opinions on where UFOs may be coming from and who they could be.

As the Intelligence Community pushes the UFO Threat narrative on a traumatised public, it’s more vital than ever to figure out the roots of the CIA psyop versus actual UFO research. Daniel Liszt, the dark journalist, investigates the meeting locations for top covert operators with access to the UFO File, which leads him to The Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C., and the murky ties of one of its members, Arthur Lundahl, a Cold War CIA official.

After the NDA report was released, Gary Heseltine met Lue Elizondo in San Marino.

A woman from the United States recounts her near experience with a Black Triangular Craft.

Gary Heseltine of the ICER organisation discusses the Rendlesham UFO event and how he uses his 30 years of law enforcement expertise to investigate similar cases.

Thanks to science fiction & fantasy author Stephen Hunt for compiling and authoring this weekly report. Best-known for creating the steampunk genre with his best-selling Jackelian series (HarperCollins/Macmillan/Tor), the first of Stephen’s Sliding Void space opera series adventures was simultaneously the #1 most downloaded novel on Amazon UK, Amazon USA, Amazon Australia, and Amazon Canada. Mr. H. now makes time in between scribbling his literary endeavours to go so far down the rabbit hole that we’d need to dispatch the White Rabbit as a Crash Retrieval Specialist to rescue his ass.
