Robo Sandcastle Builder.

While everyone may be familiar with Robocop, they might be less familiar with its arm-like cousin, Robo Sandcastle builder. Actually, the project is called Stone Spray, and was set up by three architects, Petr Novikov, Anna Kulik and Inder Shergill.

Sandcastle competitions are big events in many places where there is sand and sun (most of the UK out, then). But worry not, this sand castle-spraying robot is mainly about pushing the boundaries of architecture – not scooping wins for the best Disney-alike Princess Castle.

Building a better sand castle. One grain of sand at a time.
