Jack Kirby, King of Comics? The Neil Gaiman and Jonathan Ross panel (video).

In this hour-long video panel from WonderCon, Kirby-uber fan-boys Neil Gaiman and Jonathan Ross chat about the works and legacy of the King – nay, Emperor – of the comic-book world, Jack Kirby.

In 1940, Jack and Joe Simon created Captain America for Timely Comics, the early predecessor of Marvel Comics, and later went on to create the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Thor, the Hulk, and Iron Man for the big M. Like many early creators, Jack was pooch-screwed over authorship credit and creators’ rights by the big firms.

Neil Gaiman and Jonathan Ross are the go-to fans for this genius chap’s work.
