IDW Publishing at New York Comicon 2023

IDW PUBLISHING BRINGS SIGNINGS, PORTFOLIO REVIEWS, LIVE SKETCHING, EXCLUSIVE VARIANTS AND MORE TONEW YORK COMIC CON 2023

IDW IS SET TO BRING MORE THAN A DOZEN EVENTS FOR FANS TO ENJOY ALL WEEKEND IN ARTIST ALLEY

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 6, 2023) – IDW Publishing will be celebrating comics all weekend long in New York Comic Con’s awe-inspiring Artist Alley from October 12 through October 15 with creator signings, live sketching, portfolio reviews, exclusive variant covers, giveaways, and more.When fans enter Artist Alley, IDW Publishing will be front and center. Located at booth #HB905, aspiring comic book creators interested in portfolio reviews will need to drop off their portfolios for consideration on Friday, October 13 between 10am and 4pm for consideration. Selected submissions will be notified via text for an editorial appointment time on Saturday 10/15.

Love watching artists breathe life into a blank page? Live drawings will occur throughout the show featuring TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman, Hayden Sherman (DARK SPACES: DUNGEON), Ben Bishop and the Escorza Brothers (TMNT: THE LAST RONIN II – RE-EVOLUTION), Alan Robert (THE BEAUTY OF HORROR), and a special surprise guest. All work will be contributed to the charity Comic Books for Kids.Want to meet some brilliant creators? IDW’s packed signing schedule is provided below, and there will even be a few surprises at the show, so be sure to keep an eye on IDW’s social media for updates. Saturday signings require a wristband for entry, as noted on the schedule. Wristbands for these events will begin when Artist Alley opens to the public on Saturday at 10am and will end when all allotted wristbands have been given out.

Thursday (10/12)

Geoff Willmetts has been editor at SFCrowsnest for some 21 plus years now, showing a versatility and knowledge in not only Science Fiction, but also the sciences and arts, all of which has been displayed here through editorials, reviews, articles and stories. With the latter, he has been running a short story series under the title of ‘Psi-Kicks’ If you want to contribute to SFCrowsnest, read the guidelines and show him what you can do. If it isn’t usable, he spends as much time telling you what the problems is as he would with material he accepts. This is largely how he got called an Uncle, as in Dutch Uncle. He’s not actually Dutch but hails from the west country in the UK.
