Yesterday (trailer: alternative reality comedy).

In the alternative reality comedy movie Yesterday, a failing musician Jack Malik (played by actor Himesh Patel) loses a few teeth while falling over during a worldwide power cut caused by a particle accelerator accident.

He realises a few days later that he’s shifted into a parallel reality identical to our current Earth except for one small change – the rock band The Beatles never existed and nobody has heard their songs or knows the names of the band members.

Jack re-starts his musical career by plagiarising old Beatles albums and is rapidly hailed as the planet’s greatest musical genius.

And that’s where his problems really start …
