The Green Knight (fantasy movie: a review by Mark Kermode).

The Green Knight film had a bit of a twisty passage on the way to getting in front of our eyeballs.

It was meant to launch into the UK cinemas but was pulled at the last minute over (as it transpired) needless worrying over potential pandemic problems just as we were stumbling back into normality.

However, the cinemas’ loss (and bankruptcies), is Amazon Prime’s gain, and from today you can watch this on the Bezos Channel if you are a Prime subscriber.

In David Lowery’s version of the Arthurian legend, says Mark Kermode, Dev Patel delivers a nuanced portrayal as The Green Knight‘s lead character.

This picture is best watched on a large screen since it is a stunningly beautiful depiction of a knight’s inner struggle on his quest for bravery, as well as a masterclass in world-building.

It works, believe Mark.
