Artist Jean Henri Gaston Giraud, better known as Moebius, developed a broad variety of science-fiction and fantasy comics in a very inventive, surreal, almost abstract manner as Moebius. Jerry Cornelius’ Arzach and the Airtight Garage are among these creations. He also worked on an unproduced Dune adaptation and the comic book series The Incal with avant-garde director Alejandro Jodorowsky.
