Very sad news, Juan Giménez, the fabulous Argentine-born illustrator of such comic-books and graphic novels as Metabarons, has passed away aged 76 from coronavirus infection-related causes.

In 1980, Giménez designed the Harry Canyon portion of the Heavy Metal movie. Juan Giménez worked on various top-level European magazines and comic-book titles, including Josep Toutain’s Spanish edition of 1984, the French Metal Hurlant and the Italian L’Eternauta.

Giménez collaborated with Chilean writer Alejandro Jodorowsky to create the amazing Metabarons saga which they started in 1992.

Goodbye, Juan, we’ll sure miss you and your glorious work here.
