Jingle Jangle: Netflix’s steampunk toymaker Christmas special (trailer).

Blend some Dickensian Victoriana with a big fat dollop of steampunk and what do you get?

Well, aside from the Jackelian fantasy novels of Stephen Hunt which first put the steampunk genre on the map, you can also now enjoy this story – a musical, no less – called Jingle Jangle from Netflix of a mad inventor toyshop owner (Jeronicus Jangle played by the marvellous Forest Whitaker) who is cheated out of his intellectual property – but luckily, there’re some young eager ragamuffins on hand to help him steal back his greatest steamman creation.

Would you like some extra sugar with one’s Christmas tea, sir and madam? Then binge on this big round donut of seasonal delight!
