Deep Dive (short science fiction movie in full: video).
Here’s a short science fiction movie called Deep Dive, by Mohammad Solei, where in the near future, everyone sees the city through their own set of augmented reality contact lenses.
Here, a young Persian refugee arrives at the border of Los Angeles and is given a mandatory set of government-issued immigrant transition AR lenses. Shut out of other people’s reality she slowly descends into a new form of digital alienation.
It actually views like a snapshot from the classic Stephen Hunt science fiction novel, The Pashtun Boy’s Paradise, in which a young Afghan refugee arrives in a future European utopia.
