The forthcoming German-language steampunk mystery-horror television series 1899, developed by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, will make its Netflix debut on November 17th, 2022.
As a group of European immigrants depart London on a steamship to begin new lives in New York City, the passengers of the Kerberos discover the greatest mystery of their life as they travel across the huge and perilous Atlantic Ocean.
However, their voyage quickly becomes a nightmare after they come upon another massive missing migrant ship drifting aimlessly in the middle of the ocean, and unwisely decide to tow it back to port, even though all its passengers are oddly missing.
It’s like a Titanic meets Mary Celeste-type affair, from the look of it.
