Spirited is a forthcoming Apple TV+ musical comedy fantasy movie with a Christmas theme from Sean Anders. Just what you needed for a little cheering up, right? The movie is, of course, a contemporary adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novella A Christmas Carol, starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds, and Octavia Spencer.
Every year on Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Past chooses an evil soul to be converted by the intervention of three spirits. He chose the incorrect Scrooge for this season, however. Clint Briggs flips the script on his spectral host, forcing the Ghost of Christmas Present to reevaluate his own history, present, and future. In this musical retelling of the Dickens story, “A Christmas Carol” is recounted for the first time from the viewpoint of the ghosts.
Spirited is slated to premiere at the AFI Fest movie festival on November 5th, 2022, before being hitting cinemas on November 11th 2022, then streaming on Apple TV+ on November 18th 2022.
