That this television gem, Andor, isn’t as well-known as The Mandalorian or even House of the Dragon defies all sense. There’s just as much political intrigue on this programme as there is on Game of Thrones. Incredible, that’s all I can say. The pacing is perfect, while the mood is grim and the violence is realistic and severe. And the bad guys are nuanced, as are the good guys – not merely cackling cut-outs.
Oh, and the depiction of the crushing and all-encompassing Imperial bureaucracy is just excellent, too.
