Invasion of the techno-barbarians? (documentary: video)
Science fiction novels such as Foundation and films like the Mad Max series often shows us post-apocalyptic future civilisations with techno-barbarians running around in furs & leather hides while carrying laser weapons or other advanced technology. They feature heavily in the Warhammer 40K games, too.
But how plausible might such a civilization be and what would it actually be like in reality?
