Dead Space 3 Original Videogame Score by Jason Graves and James Hannigan (album review)
In space, no one can hear you scream. Be grateful for that, as the ‘Dead Space 3’ soundtrack will have you helping at every shadow in your room late at night.
In ‘Dead Space 3’, you take on the character of Isaac Clarke, press-ganged into a mission that takes to the farthest reaches of space in an effort to stop a plague consuming mankind. How do people get into these messes, huh?
The soundtrack is full of melodic, orchestral tunes that serve to haunt you as play through this tense environment. Veteran games composer Jason Graves returns to the ‘Dead Space’ franchise, for which he won a BAFTA for Best Original Score. He is joined by his ‘Command And Conquer’ collaborator James Hannigan, for what will no doubt be just as successful an entry.
From early atmospheric thriller ‘Vomit Comet’ to the epic ‘Covergance’, there are some quite haunting songs on this album that will have you reaching for the light switch as you listen. A worthy addition to the ‘Dead Space’ universe.
