Cerebus the Aardvark from start to finish: oh, the art (fantasy comic retrospective).
After 25 years of Dave Sim honing his craft, Ed and Jim get together to compare Dave Sim’s Cerebus the Aardvark issue 1 and issue 300, and see how everybody’s favourite anamorphic fantasy barabarian has evolved over time.
The comic started out as a spoof of sword and sorcery comics, namely Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian. The 300-issue series’ main character is an anthropomorphic aardvark who plays a variety of positions throughout the book, including barbarian, prime minister, and Pope.
