Warcraft movie’s new king… Duncan Jones.
Confirming his involvement in the new Warcraft film (Legendary Pictures: 2015), Duncan Jones has just tweeted that, “So the gauntlet was thrown down ages ago: Can you make a proper MOVIE of a video game. I’ve always said its possible. Got to DO it now!”
He did a fine job on Source Code, and his first film, Moon (or, as we like to refer to it here… Clone Alone (Not so Much)), was very good, especially the Kevin Spacey robot with the smiley face screen. But can our Duncan be the one to make a game into a decent movie? Prince of Persia Sands of Time was the last such film I saw and it was, at best, okay.
The challenge lies down in the dirt, King Duncan. Tis yours to pick up. Will thy quest succeed?
