Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Apple TV monster series: trailer).

Greetings, fellow SFcrowsnest aficionados. Grab your binoculars and perhaps an oversized butterfly net, then hide your skyscrapers, because we’ve got a monster of a scoop for you today! Remember when Godzilla and those gnarly Titans duked it out and turned San Francisco into a wrestling ring? How could we forget, right? Fasten your seatbelts (and maybe your helmets) because we’re about to dive deep into a legacy that continues to send ripples through the MonsterVerse.

Launching this November on Apple TV+ is the splendiferous spectacle: “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.” Here’s what you can expect:

Picture this: San Francisco’s left reeling from Titan-inflicted urban redesign. Monsters? Not just in movies or your in-law’s family portraits anymore; they’re real. Now, cue some drama with two siblings attempting to trace daddy dearest’s footsteps into the mysteries of the elusive Monarch.

Kurt Russell as Lee Shaw is going to have you swooning with nostalgia, while Wyatt Russell playing his younger self is a slice of genius casting! Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, and the rest of the crew make for a sizzling cauldron of talent. Special shoutout to Joe Tippett’s Tim, a desk jockey dreaming of James Bond-esque adventures. Beware, Tim, those espresso machines can be sneaky!

The genius Chris Black and the illustrious Matt Fraction are the masterminds steering this Titan-sized ship. Given the uproarious applause for Godzilla vs. Kong, it’s no wonder they decided to whisk this universe into a tantalizing television series. Rumor has it that Matt Shakman is lending his directorial prowess to the first couple of episodes!

Hop in the time machine because we’re partying like it’s the 1950s! Throw in some modern-day intrigue, secret codes, and a threat to Monarch, and we’ve got ourselves a hot pot of suspense. Don’t get too tangled in the clues though, or you’ll miss out on the popcorn.

To summarize in the immortal words of Tim, our wannabe secret agent: “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters promises thrills, spills, and a whole lot of scales!” Here at SFcrowsnest, we’re donning our best monster-repelling hats and gearing up for what’s bound to be a wild ride.

Keep an eye out for more monstrous updates. Until then, remember: always befriend the monster under your bed; you never know when you might need an ally!

Till next time, keep those nests crow-y and that popcorn buttery!
