In 1999 the Volgans invade and occupy Britain, and a London lorry driver called Bill Savage takes a shotgun to the occupiers. It's a revival of Invasion!, which ran in the very first issue of 2000 AD, reimagined as a grim, grounded story of occupation and resistance.
Charlie Adlard's stark black-and-white art suits it perfectly; he went on to draw The Walking Dead. It's one of the most politically sharp of 2000 AD's later strips.
