Blood Quantum (zombie horror film: trailer).

Streaming on Shudder US and UK comes another zombie horror film, Blood Quantum, where the walkers have taken over the towns but on the isolated Mi’gmaq reserve of Red Crow, Indigenous inhabitants are immune to the zombie plague … and must therefore cope with the consequences of its impact in the country around them, including a sudden wave of white refugees seeking shelter on their reserve.

Traylor, a tribal sheriff, lays out the plan for keeping the tribe safe—while planning some inventive methods of attacking the zombies.

The film was shot at the Kahnawake and Listuguj reserves in Quebec and the city of Campbellton in New Brunswick.

Directed and written by Mi’gmaq filmmaker Jeff Barnaby and featuring an Indigenous cast, the film stars Michael Greyeyes (Fear The Walking Dead, True Detective), Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers (On the Farm) and Forrest Goodluck (The Miseducation of Cameron Post, The Revenant).
