What if Superman's rocket had landed not in Kansas but on a Ukrainian collective farm? He would grow up as a loyal Soviet citizen, champion of the working man, and eventually leader of a communist superpower that spans most of the world. Meanwhile, America's greatest scientist, Lex Luthor, is working on a way to stop him.
It is a clever alternate history, played with a straight face, and it has fun reimagining other DC characters for the Cold War. The ending is a genuinely surprising twist. It was adapted as an animated film in 2020.
