Largo Winch is an orphan from Yugoslavia who was secretly adopted by a billionaire, and when his adoptive father is murdered, he inherits a vast conglomerate and a great many enemies. He is a rebel, a fighter and a playboy, and he would rather be anywhere than a boardroom, but he is also very good at business.
It is a business thriller, of all things, and it is surprisingly gripping: Van Hamme, who had worked in business himself, knows how corporate power works, and Francq's art is glossy and precise. It has been filmed three times (2008, 2011 and 2024), and it is one of the biggest European series of the last thirty years.
