An alien interpreter crash-lands in Birmingham and is taken in by a schoolgirl called Roxy, who hides him from the authorities with help from an unemployed man who has lost almost everything except his decency. It arrived a year after E.T., and is considerably more Brummie.
What makes it special is the setting: Thatcher's Britain, with its dole queues and grim estates, seen through the eyes of a visitor who can't understand why people treat each other like this. It's funny and angry at once, and it proved that 2000 AD could do tenderness as well as carnage.
