“The current version of Them! is about immigration, and to tell a story about the subject through a lens of this insane science fiction monster movie,” he teased. Giacchino is no stranger to the world of film scoring, having worked on basically every major geek franchise out there. He’s won an Oscar (for Up) and has five films coming out in 2022 alone that he scored the music for: The Batman, Jurassic World Dominion, Thor: Love and Thunder, Lightyear, and Werewolf by Night. He also directed the Marvel Studios special Werewolf By Night, so he’s definitely no stranger to the horror genre.
