Tribes of Europa: new Netflix science fiction TV series arriving this month (trailer).
Tribes of Europa is a new post-apocalyptic science fiction TV series from Netflix – mostly in German with subtitles, although there does seem to be some native English action in it as well. It is set towards the end of the 21st century after a major cyber war crashed all the fruits of technology, plunging earth back into a mediaeval state of affairs – though there are traces of Mad Max here with the various warlords ruling the ruins of Europe still possessing access to a few vehicles and of course guns.
Some kids inside a more or less peaceful settlement come across some high-tech in a crashed shuttle which appears to come from the still technological society of Martian settlers. Thanks Elon Musk, we owe you one. Is it a warning of some newly discovered alien threat which might be menacing earth, and demands the fragmented survivors of civilisation get their shit together to face said big bad? Well, you basically have the plot there for Tribes of Europa it seems.
