The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne: new Amazon Studios science fiction TV series (news).

Phoebe Dynevor will star in and executive produce Amazon Studios’ The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne, from Jonathan Stroud’s book of the same name. The film will be directed by James Bobin, and the screenplay will be adapted by Joe Tracz from the same-titled novel by Jonathan Stroud. Temple Hill Entertainment will be in charge of the production.

Setting the storey in a fractured future England, The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne exposes us to a world where gunfights and monsters mix, and where the fearsome outlaw Scarlett McCain battles against the odds on a daily basis to survive.

When she comes upon a damaged bus on a lonely road, there is just one survivor — an apparently helpless young man named Albert Browne. He is the sole survivor.

In no time, fresh and merciless adversaries are hot on their feet, and a chase proceeds throughout the shattered landscape of England. In order to unearth Albert’s secrets and come to grips with the ramifications of her own, Scarlett must now battle to find the truth about Albert’s background.

Shondaland’s series Bridgerton has made Dynevor a household name, and she will next be seen in Call My Agent, which will be available on Amazon Prime Video in the fall of 2018. Dynevor is going to feature in Fair Play alongside Alden Ehrenreich, according to the most recent announcement.

Bobin’s most recent work for Disney+ was as director and executive producer on The Mysterious Benedict Society, and he is now in development to direct and executive produce Percy Jackson & The Olympians, which will air on the streaming service. For Paramount and Disney, he previously directed the feature films Dora and the Lost City of Gold and Alice Through the Looking Glass. He has been on television shows such as Da Ali G Show and Flight of the Conchords, among others.

In addition to the award-winning Bartimaeus trilogy, which has been published in 36 languages, Stroud is also the author of the highly praised Lockwood & Co series, which is now being adapted for television by Netflix. Walker Books in the United Kingdom and Knopf in the United States have released his newest novel, The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne.

Bringing the novel on board were John Fischer and George Berman, who will supervise development for Temple Hill, a production firm founded by partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, who will produce the film.
