The Last of Us Season 2 to premiere late 2024 or early 2025: fans advised to enter hibernation to cope with the wait (TV news).

The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey said on the Jonathan Ross show that the second season will debut either in late 2024 or early 2025, stunning fans and sending them into a frenzy. Fans are racing to come up with solutions to deal with the torturous wait following this unexpected discovery. Even hibernation has been proposed as a potential solution by others.

Ramsey stated, “It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, beginning of next.”

Although the wait may feel interminable, the show’s makers actually made a wise choice. The video game The Last of Us Part 2, on which the television series is based, takes place five years after the previous game’s events, with Joel and Ellie clearly older. Ramsey will be able to age into her part as Ellie without having to be recast because to the break in production.

As for the plot of season 2, gamers of The Last of Us Part 2 should expect a familiar scenario, albeit with some possibly significant twists. There will be blood, but the series’ creators want to maintain “the soul of that story.”

The announcement has sparked a flurry of amusing suggestions on how to pass the time on social media. One fan joked, “I guess I’ll just have to rerun the games and watch season 1 on loop till my eyes bleed,” while another said, “Time to build a gigantic pillow fort and hibernate until 2024.”

The Last of Us fans are tenacious and ready to learn what season 2 has in store despite the excruciating wait. In the meantime, fans are encouraged to stock up on munchies, revisit season 1, and perhaps consider investing in a decent hibernation pod to make the wait just a little more palatable.
