The Handmaid’s Tale TV series (new trailer).

Out April 26th 2017 via Hulu, The Handmaid’s Tale TV series is based on the book of the same name by Margaret ‘I don’t really write science fiction’ Atwood.

The Handmaid’s Tale is set in the Republic of Gilead, a nasty future theocratic dictatorship that was formerly the USA, and is recounted by Offred – a female slave (known as a “handmaid”) kept for reproductive purposes by the ruling Junta, due to mass sterility created by climate change-caused diseases.

Nice and happy vibes, then. A tale for our age, perhaps?
