Star Wars The High Republic universe launched by Disney (news).

Disney has launched a new universe called Star Wars: The High Republic, which is set 200 years prior to the events of Star Wars: the Phantom Menace, during a golden age when the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order are at their height, serving and protecting the galaxy.

This spin-off currently features new stories from five authors (graphic novels and books) set in the all-new era.

If it takes off, cartoons, live action TV series, and perhaps even movies may follow!
