Philip Seymour Hoffman, aka Plutarch Heavensbee, found dead at age 46.
The American actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has been found dead in his home in New York. The Wall Street Journal says that a law enforcement source informed the newspaper that the actor was discovered expired in his bathroom with a needle in his arm, which would suggest that drugs might be the cause for his untimely (age 46) passing.
What a waste. He was a great actor. Always very entertaining in roles as diverse as Mission Impossible III’s spy-fi through to cult classics such as The Big Lebowski as well as the recent second Hunger Games film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, where Philip played Plutarch Heavensbee.
Philip was currently filming the last Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay, to be split into two movies, with the second part of the 3rd movie due to be finished in 2015, so it’s likely the script might need to be revised to accommodate his sad demise.
Goodbye, Philip, your talents will be missed.
