Nineworlds Geekfest… you know, like Comic-con (but in London!)

There’s a new mutant convention in town (that town being London), a clever cross between the small Fannish cons and the large pay-your-fave-Dr-Who-star-£50-to-stalk-them-for-a-signature type affairs. Think of it as Comic-con by the Thames, and it’s called Nineworlds Geekfest.

It’s kickstarted and it could be huge! Watch the video and support them over here.

If you geek it, they will come…

As they told us…

Events like Dragon*Con in the US are huge, days-long parties with panels, activities, games and exhibitions covering a vast range of interests. It’s possible to wander from session to session, making new friends and discovering amazing worlds. Or you can rock out on Rock Band, watch a film, then play a hotel-wide game of Assassins. Or buy a drink at the bar and watch the costume parade go by, before partying all night and catching a few rounds of Werewolf in the late night gaming room. That’s what we want to create here. And that’s what we are and will be creating, with your help.
