Lord of the Rings fully rebuilt in Minecraft: ten glorious years of brickwitery (news).

So, Minecraft Middle-Earth is celebrating ten glorious years of brick-by-brick recreating JRR Tolkien’s fantasy world from, the Lord Of The Rings.

They are also the oldest Minecraft build server to exist, and have created locations like The Shire, Rohan, Isengard, Minas Tirith, Rivendell, Lothlorien, and even the Mines of Moria (complete with tame in-house Balrog).

Their map is 29,000 by 30,000 blocks making an area of 870 square kilometers – the same size of Dallas in Texas.

There’s now a live map over at http://build.mcmiddleearth.com:8123/index.html and you can join the project over at https://www.mcmiddleearth.com/
