Lightyear (animated scifi film: new trailer).

In cinemas on June 17th, 2022, you’ll hopefully find the new animated Pixar scifi film Lightyear, directed by Angus MacLane.

Here’s the latest trailer for the upcoming sci-fi adventure with the voices of Chris Evans as Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear, Uzo Aduba, Peter Sohn, Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi and Dale Soules, as well as Mary McDonald-Lewis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Efren Ramirez and Keira Hairston.

This is the origin tale of the ‘real’ (non-toy) Buzz Lightyear. Lightyear follows the famed Space Ranger after he and his android moggie are marooned on a hazardous planet 4.2 million light years away from Earth, along with a load of colonists. During his journey back home across space, Buzz is accompanied by an ambitious group of recruits as well as his robot cat companion, Sox, who mainly serves as comedy relief.

Complicating things and endangering the mission, robot overlord Zurg arrives, an intimidating figure with an army of cruel robots and a mystery motive, which puts the mission in jeopardy.
