Justice League Of America [The New 52] Volume 2: Survivors Of Evil by Matt Kindt, Tom Derenick, Eddy Barrows and Doug Mahnke (graphic novel review).
Here’s the issue: the graphic novel ‘Justice League of America [The New 52] Volume 2: Survivors of Evil’ contains all spoilers. Oddly, it only features 2½ members of the JLA, and the half only gives itself away towards the end.
The Martian Manhunter and Stargirl find themselves imprisoned, with a tunnel descending to escape. Telepathically connected, the manhunter insists on going down, with Stargirl only following if he encounters difficulties. He finds members of the Justice League going through their own personal nightmares at different levels, until he finds the same problem. He breaks contact with Stargirl, who then follows suit. The details of who and what is causing this are all revealed in spoilers. Even revealing this much information amounts to concealing one spoiler.
It does feel odd that this isn’t really a standard story format. Wouldn’t it be intriguing to observe how the JLA pursues its own objectives, closely monitoring the Justice League? They are in some ways, but it’s not on their terms, and it’s all a deadly trap. Don’t get caught.
