Here’s a nice little interview with the owner of the 2000AD Comic-book Universe, let’s call it the 2KU… Jason Kingsley.

Jason and his brother Chris Kingsley formed Rebellion in 1992, and the gaming firm is well known for its Sniper Elite series and many Alien vs. Predator titles.

Rebellion Publishing, a sister firm, has been publishing comic books since 2000, when it bought legendary British comic-book 2000 AD, the publisher of Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper, among hundreds of other strips.
