Based on the science fiction novels of the same name by the late great Isaac Asimov, Foundation (created by Skydance for Apple TV) is the TV series that follows a band of exiles on their mission to save humanity and rebuild civilization during the fall of a vast Galactic Empire.
Foundation stars Jared Harris as Hari Seldon; Lee Pace as Brother Day; Lou Llobell as Gaal; Leah Harvey as Salvor; Laura Birn as Demerzel; Terrence Mann as Brother Dusk; and Cassian Bilton as Brother Dawn.
Foundation is executive produced by Robyn Asimov, David S. Goyer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Welsh, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Marcy Ross.
Arriving in 2021, now (the series went into pre-production, but on 12th March 2020 its production was halted by COVID-19).
Hopefully, this Foundation TV series introduction of the FICTIONAL concept of psychohistory, to a world wide audience, larger than ever before, will amplify interest in building a REAL psychohistory “here on Earth”. For the last 20 years, a start toward this has been, and continues to be, in development by a public interest, pro bono think tank named Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica.
