Here’s a second, deeper look at the world of Independence Day: Resurgence, where an Earth bolstered by looted alien technology from the failed first invasion by ET must now hold off an even larger horde of interstellar locust bug things. We also find out what happened to Will Smith’s character from the first movie (Captain Steven Hiller). Hint… slap. Crunch. Ouch.

It’s up to the next generation to save the day, but thankfully they still have Jeff Goldblum around to mug for shots. We’re saved! Let’s hope that ET haven’t updated their firewalls to stand-off Apple O/S viruses, this time, the alien mugs.
