IDW Brings Big Exclusives And Debuts To WonderCon

IDW Publishing is returning to one of Southern California’s favorite comic conventions– the one and only WonderCon! Held at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 23rd to March 25th, attendees can stop by and see the IDW crew at booth #1109 all weekend. Kick off your convention season with a show full of creator signings, announcements, panels, giveaways, and so much more!

Join IDW in welcoming the long-anticipated arrival of the blue blur, Sonic The Hedgehog, at the show! Be one of the first to pick up a world premiere convention exclusive copy of Sonic #1 and get it signed by writer Ian Flynn, who will be signing throughout the show! Also available at the booth is a free, limited-edition preview of the highly anticipated League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Volume 4: The Tempest. Get your first look inside the exciting final installment by Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill.

Also this year, for the first time ever, IDW will be revealing an on-site order system to fulfill all of your comic needs! Can’t find what you’re looking for at the booth? IDW is implementing a new process where you will have the option to order anything from the IDW warehouse then and there, with free domestic shipping straight to your door included. Ask an IDW staff member for more details.

If that’s not enough, IDW will be debuting Mystery Packs containing rare variants, signed and sketched merchandise, and more unique items! These packs will be available as a FREE BONUS to all customers who spend over $100 at the IDW booth. These special packs will be given away on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

Jack Kirby’s Centennial Artwork Extravaganza, Friday, 3/23/18, 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Room: 209
The Jack Kirby Centennial celebration continues with this incredible presentation of the King’s original comic artwork.  The standing-room-only panel had to turn away fans at both San Diego and New York  — and is now in Anaheim for one final encore! Hosted by IDW President and Publisher Greg Goldstein, this special tribute will feature a multi-media display of more than 1,300 pages of Kirby’s original artwork—the largest showing ever—selected from the eight Jack Kirby Artist’s Edition books IDW has published, as well as additional not-yet-published pages that will be new to fans of the books. Everyone who attends will walk away with a special gift!

Black Crown: The Ruling Class, Friday, 3/23/18, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., Room: 213
Last October, IDW kicked off a new comics revolution with BLACK CROWN, editor Shelly Bond’s audacious creator-owned imprint. Join Bond and her coterie of star talent including Philip Bond (CUD: RICH AND STRANGE) and a special guest as they spill secrets and share amazing art at a panel that can only be called BLACK CROWN: THE RULING CLASS!

Geoff Willmetts has been editor at SFCrowsnest for some 21 plus years now, showing a versatility and knowledge in not only Science Fiction, but also the sciences and arts, all of which has been displayed here through editorials, reviews, articles and stories. With the latter, he has been running a short story series under the title of ‘Psi-Kicks’ If you want to contribute to SFCrowsnest, read the guidelines and show him what you can do. If it isn’t usable, he spends as much time telling you what the problems is as he would with material he accepts. This is largely how he got called an Uncle, as in Dutch Uncle. He’s not actually Dutch but hails from the west country in the UK.
