Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is an upcoming superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and released by Walt Disney. It’s the concluding film in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy and the 32nd in the MCU. Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaa, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sylvester Stallone star. In the film, Peter Quill must organise the Guardians of the Galaxy to defend the cosmos and safeguard one of their own.
James Gunn indicated in November 2014 he had basic ideas for a third picture and confirmed his comeback in April 2017. Disney suspended him in July 2018 when disturbing tweets resurfaced, but then reinstated him in October. Production resumed after Gunn finished The Suicide Squad (2021) and its spin-off series Peacemaker (2022).
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in the U.S. on May 5th, 2023.
