Dishonored 2 game trailer . . . steampunk redux.

Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios are working on Dishonored 2, their steampunk first-person action stealth game and follow-up to Dishonored, slated for a Spring 2016 release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

It’s kind of like being in a Stephen Hunt novel, but with a lot more hands-on slaughter!

In Dishonored 2 the fate of the Isles is left hanging in the balance when the throne is seized by an otherworldly usurper. Players can reprise their role as a supernatural assassin and play as either Emily Kaldwin or Corvo Attano – both armed with the mark of the Outsider and their own set of supernatural abilities, weapons and gadgets; exploring the game world from the streets of Dunwall to the coastal city of Karnaca.

Dishonored 2 blends first-person action, assassination, stealth, mobility and the gameโ€™s brutal combat system.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited for everyone to finally know that weโ€™re hard at work on Dishonored 2,โ€ said Harvey Smith, co-creative director at Arkane Studios. โ€œWeโ€™re really looking forward to sharing more details with fans and revealing gameplay for the first time later this summer.โ€

โ€œAt Arkane, weโ€™re passionate about creating deep game experiences in highly-crafted worlds,โ€ added Raphael Colantonio, founder and co-creative director at Arkane Studios. โ€œReturning to the world of Dishonored is both thrilling and rewarding.โ€
