Counting The Regenerations: a thought by: GF Willmetts,

There’s been a lot of counting as what number of regenerations have passed with ‘Doctor Who’, confused somewhat when the John Hurt War Doctor regeneration appeared a couple years back.

However, the Peter Capaldi Doctor regeneration is the first of a new 13 cycle and he also used one of his regenerative cycles to repair some body damage in this season so the Jodi Whittaker Doctor isn’t fifteen but actually 2-3.

This isn’t unprecedented. After all, the Master is also in a second cycle of regenerations as well, look at the Paul McGann regeneration where it happened and Missy was his…er her third, as far as we known, so should he/she actually be -2-3 as well. At this rate, its going to be a Regeneration Race.

Now that would really confuse the journalists out there.
