If you have ever fancied the comfy yet snug existence of Mr Bilbo Baggins – maybe get some dwarves around for a bit of Celtic singing and beer drinking – then a firm called Green Magic Homes has something for you . . . a series of full-size hobbit homes made of modular fiber and resin-based prefabricated units. Everything from garages through to hobbity palaces, by the looks of things.

A hole of your own? Lovely. The way house prices in the UK are going, I might just buy one of these and see if I can’t sneak it into Regent’s Park and hope nobody notices I have moved in!
