Brent Spiner interviewed about his new Star Trek mem-noir: Fan Fiction (video).

Memoir Noir is a highly intimate, somewhat skewed depiction of the connection between a celebrity and his admirers that is written by Brent Spiner in the style of Fan Fiction.

If the Coen Brothers were to develop a Star Trek movie that dealt with the complexities of fan devotion while still being science fiction, this noir comedy could well be the film they would choose.

Setting his tale in 1991, just as the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation has achieved worldwide acclaim, the young and impressionable actor, Brent Spiner, receives an unexplained package and a series of disturbing letters that send him on an incredibly terrifying and bizarre journey that enlists the help of Paramount Security, the Los Angeles Police Department, and even the FBI to put a stop to the danger that threatens his life and career.
